Matthew Monk's Closing Reception

For the past several months, the walls of Stoltze Design have been graced by an extraordinary exhibition of collage and mixed-media work by Matthew Monk.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. On Thursday night, Stoltze opened its doors for the closing of Matt's show at the studio. Friends old and new braved the weather and came together to enjoy wine, snacks, inspiring art and great company.

An associate professor at the Rhode Island School of Design, Matthew's work as book and catalogue designer has garnered an impressive client roster that includes The National Gallery of Art, Yale University Press, and Harvard University Graduate School of Design. In his personal work, Matthew's collages and mixed-media projects explore systems, typography, and narrative while drawing from a variety of disciplines, including architecture, performing arts, literature, science, and philosophy.
